I am a lifelong Artisan Woodworker. Since creating my first piece at age 14, woodwork has been my most deeply rooted expression of self. Throughout every season of my life, good times and bad never has there been a weakness in the relationship that the prints on my hands have with the pores in every grain of the wood I craft with. True connections never waiver. They only become more deeply intertwined. This connection is felt in every encounter with any piece I create. My hope is that every client who acquires one of my pieces will use that connection as a catalyst for connections with their own expressions of self.
Process
I design each piece in house. I start with a hand drawn scale rendering. From there I work on the engineering phase for the basic structure. At that point it is ready to move to the shop. Often times the design morphs into something that takes a life of its own. This is one of the most special things about my work. When this happens, I know the piece has assumed it's own identity and I just go where it takes me. It is a beautiful thing to watch come to life.
